Dr. Cynthia L. Brown

     Dr. Cynthia Lynch Brown is a native of Richmond, Virginia and the daughter of Evangelist Dorothy Hughes and the late Ernest Hughes, Jr. Our First Lady attended Richmond Public Schools during her early education years.

     She is a member of Tower of Deliverance Church of God in Christ where she served very actively in the Nurse Ministry, the Choir Ministry, Director of Public Relations for her church and as an Evangelist.

     She has three children, Kelly, Chalitta and Larry Jr. and one granddaughter, Ni'asia.

     In 1980, First Lady recorded her first album entitled “Cynthia & Company”. She has also traveled with her godmother, Pastor Shirley Caesar Williams, from time to time.

     On November 3, 1991, First Lady received her license as a Minister from Gravel Run Baptist Church and was later ordained on October 26, 2003.

     First Lady is the Music Director of all the Gravel Run Choirs. She organized the Nurses Ministry and formed the Women’s Department which developed Women’s Week. Under her leadership, Women’s Week became Our Annual Baptist Women’s Convention of Central Virginia in 1996 and was incorporated in 1999.

     In 2004, Mrs. Brown brought Evangelist Dorothy Norwood to bless us during Our Annual Baptist Women’s Convention. Her godmother, Pastor Shirley Caesar, has honored us with her presence during our Annual Baptist Women’s Convention of Central Virginia, Inc. on several occasions.

     She's presently working on her upcoming CD entitled “Don't Worry The World Belongs to Him”.
